Around this time of the year after three months of frigid weather, I feel like I start losing a little bit of steam. Because of my bad circulation, I usually sit underneath the heating vent wrapped up in a blanket to avoid losing the feeling in my fingers and toes…
Which means shedding that fuzzy blanket and heading into the kitchen with its cold tile floor to bake and photograph treats isn’t quite so appealing!
Yet YOU keep me going and help me find the motivation to pull on two pairs of socks and fuzzy slippers and test new recipes for cookies and cheesecakes and brownies and muffins and scones. ♥
It’s just from the little things you do! Like leaving me comments on my blog, like sharing my recipes on Pinterest, like sending the links to my recipes to your family and friends, like trying my recipes and posting pictures on Facebook and Instagram to share with me…
Those tiny actions warm my heart and give me the inspiration I need—and they’ve enabled me to turn Amy’s Healthy Baking into my full-time job, too! I’m so grateful for what you’ve done for me.
So to say thank you, I’m putting the spotlight back on you today! Here are some of the recipes that you’ve tried and pictures that you’ve shared on Instagram. I truly appreciate each and every time you do that; it really means the world to me! ♥
And if you’re interested in starting a blog too, I have a super easy step-by-step guide on how you can start your own blog here. It takes less than 30 minutes!
I can’t wait to see what you try next! ♥
Would you like to see your picture in my next Sunday Spotlight? Then share it with me on Instagram using #amyshealthybaking and tag @amyshealthybaking IN the photo itself. (That guarantees I’ll see your picture! ?) I can’t wait to see what recipes you make!
I too have poor circulation, so I know what you mean about feeling too cold to go into the kitchen! But once the oven is on, the kitchen feels a little warmer. All these photos of baked treats look super scrumptious – I might just have to go and pop the oven on now! (I too will be wearing a couple of pairs of socks and fluffy slippers, as I usually do during winter?).
No wonder we get along so well, Katie! I always wear 2 pairs of socks during the winter. 😉 I can’t wait to hear what you make next!
I love your recipes. They’re so good! Thank you for all you do.
On the cold issue, you should get heated floors in the kitchen to heat up your little tootsies!
I’ve got it in my house and absolutely love it. I wouldn’t buy a house without it.
I haven’t heard of heated floors here in California Toni — that sounds amazing!!
You’re in California? Well, heated floors just don’t sound too practical, now, do they? No wonder you haven’t heard of it. Being in Minnesota, it is fairly common.
Yes, I’m in California! Parts of the state do get really cold weather and lots of snow, like up in the mountains where my family has a cabin… So heated floors would definitely be practical there! Just not near San Francisco where I currently am. 😉 Stay warm in Minnesota, Toni! 🙂
Amy I love Sundays! Thank you for the spotlight :). I enjoy every recipe you have. Whenever someone says “I need a good recipe for……..) I say.. “You need to meet Amy”.. Thank you for your dedication to bringing us all healthy yummy goodness. Now…off to check out all the recipes! Have an awesome day and stay warm.
Awwww you’re the sweetest to tell people they need to check out my blog Lynn! I’m truly touched! ♡♡ I can’t wait to see what you make next!
Amy, your post had me laughing! lol I always seem to be cold, espcecially when I visit my parents up north! My room there lacks proper ventilation so during the winter my room is literally an ice box! ? I have heated blankets and everything! Maybe you should look into those! They’re lifesavers! ?? Again, thank you so very much for featuring me on your Sunday Spotlight post! ?It feels pretty amazing having my picture on your site!?? Can’t wait to make more of your recipes! ❤?❤ Thanks for all you do for your blog! All your hard work is MUCH appreciated ?
Me + cold = exactly why I’m a little jealous of you living in Arizona Sabrina! ? I love the heated blankets idea! Right now, I keep a little space heater in my room and carry it around with me as needed. ? I can’t wait to see what you make next — and feature you again! ♡
Lol ? I love those mobile heaters! Well, I prefer the cold weather, so I’m kinda jealous! I’ll push some AZ heat your way ? Can’t wait to make more stuff either!! ???❤
Send that AZ heat quick — we’ve had a full week of chilly rain!! ? I’m SO excited to see what you try next!
Two peas! The cold definitely has an impact on how productive I end up being… add a cat on my lap that I don’t want to disturb, and it’s nearly impossible to get anything done! <3
At least you have a comfy cat as an excuse! I have… A fuzzy blanket I don’t want to disturb? ?? Thank goodness you don’t have to get up at 3 am for your job anymore during the winter, Andrea — that’d be horrible!
Hey Amy! It’s been a year since I made the cookies.. thank you for featuring my post. BTW, I just recently got married to the guy I made the LOVE cookies for XD! The recipe did the trick!lol
Wow!! Congratulations on your wedding Nayomi!! That’s so special, and I’m truly honored that my recipe played such a small part. 🙂
