Notes: Any milk may be substituted for the unsweetened cashew milk.
I don’t recommend substituting Dutched or “special dark” cocoa powder for the regular unsweetened cocoa powder. The latte already tastes rich and chocolaty without it!
Any sweetener may be substituted for the vanilla crème stevia. However, I highly recommend it! It’s my favorite sweetener, and you’ll use it in all of
these recipes of mine, too.
To prepare the extra strong chai, add 2 chai tea bags (or 3 tea bags, for a stronger chai flavor) to ¾ cup of boiling water, and let them steep for at least 15 minutes.
These are the tea bags that I use (and there’s a
decaf version that I love, too!).
