Shortly after my guy and I started dating, I quickly realized that he rarely ate leftovers. In fact, he usually ignores them—except for spicy turkey chili, which acquires more heat the longer it sits. Because I refused to be stuck with 5 straight nights of spaghetti or stew, I immediately started scaling back recipes to create just 2-3 servings instead. (I didn’t mind repeating a meal two nights in a row… But an entire week would be overkill!)
Eventually, I recognized we weren’t the only couple struggling to find recipes for a smaller household, so I decided to write a cookbook where every recipe—breakfasts, entrées, and desserts—produced exactly 2 portions. You’ll never have unwanted leftovers, and each recipe easily scales up to feed a larger crowd!
Last summer, I published my eCookbook, Table for Two and filled it with healthy recipes positively packed with flavor. As the final week in celebrating my blog’s new name, I’m putting it on sale for 25% off! From now until 4/18/14, just purchase it here (or click on the “My Books” tab in my top menu bar). You don’t even need to enter a code at the checkout!
Here’s a little sneak peek of the recipes inside…
Every recipe in Table for Two includes (a) a full-sized photograph {because I firmly believe that cookbooks should have a picture for each recipe—I want to see what the dish looks like!} and (b) the corresponding Nutrition Information. You all really appreciate that I include it with my blog recipes, so of course I wanted to add it to my cookbook too!
As an eCookbook, you can view it on your computers, iPad, Tablet, Kindle, and smart phone. This PDF format allows you to zoom in close on the photos, clears up space on your kitchen bookshelves, and even makes it easy to check the ingredient lists on your phone at the grocery store! And if you want a paper copy in the kitchen with you, go ahead and print it out from your computer too.
This deal gets even better! At the end of the week, I’m giving away a copy to 3 lucky winners! If you purchase my discounted cookbook this week and win, you’ll be reimbursed or you can choose to gift the copy to another family member or friend.
So get 25% OFF here and enter the giveaway too! Just follow the prompts in the Rafflecopter box below. (It sometimes takes a few moments to load.) Good luck!
Note: To enter the giveaway, first sign in using Facebook –OR– your email address. The entry options will appear after you’ve signed in.

i’d make them both for my parents!
So sweet of you Bianca! 🙂
I would share them with my grandmother.
So sweet of you Teresa — you two must share a special bond! 🙂
seriously awesome. cooking for two is SO hard. my freezer can handle so many leftovers… i would share these with my other half. 🙂
It’s true — I need some space for ice cream in my freezer; the leftovers can’t take up all the room! 😉
With my husband!
What a lucky man! 🙂
Hee hee….I tell him that all the time. 😉
I’d share the other serving with my guy! 🙂 We love to cook together and he LOVES leftovers 😀
Oh my gosh — what’s the secret to liking leftovers?? We need to learn that ASAP! 😉
Usually I like to throw tons of leftovers in my salads!! I call it the “everything salad”! It’s really easy to enjoy with things like pasta or veggies!
That’s a great idea Marina! I’m a huge salad fan, so I’m definitely keeping your tip in mind. 🙂
This is exactly what I need. There are some weeks were leftovers are not cutting it and I just want to make something for just my husband and I.
Lots of leftovers with just 2 people can be really hard. I hope some of my recipes help, Amy! 🙂
I live alone so I would eat half immediately and save the other half for work lunch!
I love your plan Erin! I lived alone for 2 years, and I did the same thing a lot of the time. 🙂
This would be the perfect book for my boyfriend and I. I’m trying to get him to eat healthier (slowly but surely…haha) and I’d say within 3 1/2 years of being with him he has greatly improved! Can’t wait to cook more meals with him.
Kaylin, that’s incredible — good for you! I’ve been trying to get my guy to eat healthier for ages too (he loves Burger King and McDonald’s, and he eats at one or the other almost every day). If you have any tips, I’d love to hear them! 🙂
Oh, Amy, I understand! I have the PICKIEST eater ever for a boyfriend. Quite unfortunate sometimes because I love so many types of food, haha. But I think I’ve really gotten him to change his diet and try new things because he’s focused on his health now and knows how important your diet is to improving your overall health, energy, and happiness. 🙂
That’s wonderful Kaylin!! I’m so happy for you two. And he must really adore you to be willing to change like that! 🙂
Soon to be empty nester eBook would be perfect!
That’s exciting Maureen! And good luck to your wonderful kids with their futures! 🙂
I would share with my husband.
So sweet of you Beverly! 🙂
I’d save the other half for lunch the next day 🙂
So smart Ashley! 🙂
