This past April, I flew to Michigan along with fourteen other food bloggers for our first Fresh Coast Retreat. {← Click that link if you’d like to see my exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the trip!} For four days, we stayed in a beautiful mansion directly on Muskegon Lake, a small inlet on the eastern side of Lake Michigan, and everyone took turns leading sessions to teach each other about our areas of expertise.
We covered topics from writing cookbooks and television appearances, to editing photos and shooting overhead recipe videos, to collaborating with brands and detailed legal contracts. As we drove to the airport to head back home, I felt so inspired by the other people and how successful they all are with their blogs, and I couldn’t wait to start applying what I had learned.
It’s a little crazy, isn’t it? Twenty years ago, food blogs (at least as we know them today!) basically didn’t exist… Yet Amy’s Healthy Baking is now my full-time job. Wow.
And you have made that possible. Yes, you!
By visiting my blog and browsing my recipes… By printing them out and saving them on Pinterest… By giving those treats to your loved ones and sharing my blog links of those recipes… By leaving sweet comments here and on Facebook… By snapping pictures of your treats and posting them on Instagram…
While all of those little actions may sound insignificant, they’re exactly what have enabled me to turn my blog into my full-time job, and I am so incredibly grateful.
So to say thank you, I’m putting the spotlight back on you today! Here are some of the recipes that you’ve baked and pictures that you’ve shared on Instagram. I truly appreciate each and every time you do that; it really means the world to me. ♥
If you’re interested in starting a blog of your own, I have an easy step-by-step guide on how you can start a blog in less than 30 minutes here!
I can’t wait to see what you try next! ♥
Would you like to see your picture in my next Sunday Spotlight? Then share it with me on Instagram using #amyshealthybaking and tag @amyshealthybaking IN the photo itself. (That guarantees that I’ll see the notification from you! ?) I can’t wait to see what recipes you make!
Look at all these recipes I need to try! Everything looks perfect! I’ll say it again Amy, I am sooooooooo happy I found your recipes. You have no idea how badly we needed them! Seriously!
Oh, and thanks for the mention Amy. 🙂 Those scones are wonderful!
You’re welcome Sarah, and thank YOU for making and sharing them! Your sweet comment means so much to me. 🙂 I’m excited to see what you try next!
