Happy Holidays! Yes, I’m one of those people who always waits until the day after Thanksgiving to put up the Christmas tree, play holiday movies, and sing along to Christmas carols. It just feels a little strange to dive into the Christmas season before I’ve celebrated Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. (It’s the one all about spending the entire day in the kitchen with your loved ones—two of the best things in the world in my eyes!)  

And since you probably have plenty of leftovers from yesterday and might not be looking for a new recipe this morning… And since I’m not much of a wake-up-at-the-crack-of-dawn-and-drive-to-the-mall Black Friday girl (I do mine online to avoid the crowds, and you can find my wish list here!)…

I thought it’d be fun to share another Coffee Break post! So grab a mug of your favorite tea or hot chocolate (← my favorite recipe!) or even a festive peppermint mocha (← YUM!) and settle in… Because I have some BIG news to share with you!

I’m starting my own YouTube TV show!

I’ve wanted to host my own TV show for years, and over the summer, things finally started to fall into place. I bought my dream house with a gorgeous, spacious white kitchen perfect for filming… I met a few key people with production backgrounds and experience… I found great deals on the new equipment I needed…

But there was one tiny thing holding me back. Not the fear of being on camera—I love doing that!

That one little thing was… Finding makeup that wouldn’t smudge or come off after hours of filming and talking and taking bite after bite of treats. I really didn’t want to run to a mirror every 20 minutes to check my nose for smudged foundation or my teeth for lipstick stains… And I hadn’t found anything that worked for my sensitive skin or lips.

When I mentioned that problem to my friend Whit, she grew really excited. “Oh my gosh, Amy!” she exclaimed. “I have the perfect thing for you!”

She explained how she uses an incredible makeup line that exactly fits what I was looking for. Eating-proof, sweat-proof, lasts for hours and hours—or as she puts it, totally life-proof!
 

 
Whit actually began her makeup business because of her youngest son. During one of her final pregnancy check-ups, the doctor discovered something was wrong with her baby’s heart. He immediately put her on an emergency flight to the best hospital in her state. The moment her son was born there, he was whisked away into open-heart surgery.

Despite the huge complications of a newborn’s open-heart surgery procedure, her miracle baby survived… But he needed many more surgeries over the next few years, so Whit started selling makeup to pay for the massive medical bills and to support her family.

As soon as she heard about my makeup dilemma, Whit quickly offered to send me samples. I tested them out during a shoot, and I completely fell in love! The lip color was easy to apply, never smudged, and I never had to reapply it… Even after baking in my kitchen all day. I’m excited to get more of her amazing products for filming these TV episodes!
 

 
Whit is one of the sweetest, most upbeat and genuine ladies I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful for her advice and expertise. She {figuratively!} held my hand every step of the way, answered all of my makeup questions and text messages, and reassured me that my new TV show was going to turn out amazing. Such a sweetheart and a true gem!

So in December, I’m putting the finishing touches on the first few episodes of my TV show… And it’ll air starting in January 2018! I’m really excited to share it with you and invite you into my kitchen to bake with me!

Seriously… I’m basically bouncing up and down in my chair with the giddiest grin on my face. Like a 5-year-old kid on Christmas morning. This is going to be so fun!
