Peace. Love. Joy. These words float around like confetti at a birthday party during this time of year, and I encounter them just about everywhere I turn.
Sung in Christmas carols on the radio… Stitched into stockings hung over the fireplace mantle… Painted onto glass ornaments carefully nestled among the branches of Christmas trees…
I use those words as gentle reminders to pause amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, to try to focus and feel those emotions instead of getting caught up in the frenzied pace of December.
The sources of peace, love, and joy are different for all of us, and they can change from year to year, month to month, and even hour to hour. And that’s okay.
I hope you’re able to reach for joy, focus on things that make you smile, and fill your life with things that fill your heart.
