  3. Hi Amy…..really enjoy your story and pictures. Must be nice to live in California. My hubby of 49 years and I live in Stratford, Ontario Canada. It’s a Shakespearean Festival City and home of Justin Beiber. Nice park setting and beautiful country side. We are about 45 minutes from Lake Huron.

  5. Hi Amy, I love this! It makes you more human to me if that makes sense. I’ve always followed your recipes but now I want to try a bunch of them because I feel like I know a little something about you. You aren’t just a random person posting recipes. I lived in San Diego for a while and it is a lovely place! My husband and I now live outside of Palm Springs in La Quinta and we love it. A little hotter and dryer than SD but some of the other qualities are there such as wonderful neighbors, great weather 8 months out of the year, and lots of community activities and things to do. Love your pics too! Keep up these updates.

  6. Amy, I loved your post about your life on San Diego! The pictures and text were really well done. I felt like I was there!

  7. Thanks for the reminder not to “settle” when it comes to what you want in a house. My husband and I are making initial plans to leave LA in the next few years. I’d love to know what general neighborhood you found in SD. Also — how’s the traffic? (Typical LA question, right?)

  8. Hi Amy,
I loved your post and truly enjoyed those amazing pictures! I live in Alberta, Canada, so sunny beaches and dreamy weather 8 months of the year sound fantastic compared to our -40 degrees Celsius winter occasions and only 3 months of stellar warm sunshine! The close relationship you share with your grandmother reminded me of my own and it is such a blessing, you will treasure it always I can promise you that. Thanks for sharing, Amy, and take good care.

  9. Coronado Beach looked beautiful. What a lovely area to live and call home. If May and June are your only semi-good days then you really have it made. I enjoyed reading and look forward to hearing more about your lovely city. Thanks for sharing!

  10. You could sell prints of that gorgeous blue and yellow sky!! Would love to hear about your favorite restaurants. 😁
