  1. I took your advice and poured myself a cup of coffee while reading your article and seeing your pictures. It was an enjoyable start to my day! I have followed you for years on FB snd want to be the gramma like you have. Hope you have a great day!

  2. Thank you for sharing the story. Your recipes are great but love seeing the life that makes you who you are

  3. Amy, I have been saving your recipes, but am new to your blog. You are an amazing photographer, in addition to your wonderful and creative baking talents! My few visits to San Diego have been on the lovely occasion of embarking on / debarking from a cruise. My first time, we had arrived at night. Imagine the thrill of waking up to watch our ship pull into harbor, right across the street!

  4. Enjoyed your post about life in San Diego! I too have Raynayds plus some other things that go with it and have often wished I could live in there. I also hate extreme heat and humidity so it sounds so perfect. Thank you for the update! And I’ll bet that when you moved there you made your grandma the happiest person on earth.

  6. Going to be in San Diego soon. Please let me know your favorite places to eat.
Thank you. Love your site and recipes.

  7. Ohh now I want to vacation in San Diego!!! My husband and I vacationed there before kids, but now I want to go with our teenage kids! Love seeing this side of your life as well as all of your amazing recipes!!!

  8. Thanks for the ‘ change-up.’ You definitely live in a beautiful place. I think I do too actually, upstate NY off of Lake Ontario. And I don’t mind the snow. Not that we don’t get some, but we haven’t won the “Golden Shovel” for a couple of years. (Most accumulation over the season for upstate cities). I like our change of seasons, beautiful parks (three designed by Olmstead in our adjacent city) and our friendly people.
