Three days ago, we celebrated Thanksgiving. After cooking the turkey and Great-Grandma’s stuffing, her special cranberry relish and my maple sweet potato casserole, homemade whole wheat rolls {do you want the recipe for them??} and two different types of pies, we sat down at the table to enjoy our small five-person feast.
A few hours later, once the dishes sat drying next to the sink and we finished watching the classic cartoon version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” I turned to my dad and asked what he was thankful for. His answer echoed many of the same thoughts in my head: our loving and supportive family, how my grandparents’ health has basically stabilized, and spending quality time with each other.
But I added another very important thing to my list… You!
I’m so thankful for you. Your simple actions of browsing around my website and sending recipe links to your friends and family, of sharing them on Facebook and saving them to Pinterest, of trying my recipes and tagging me in your Instagram pictures… Those have all added up and allowed me to turn Amy’s Healthy Baking into my full-time job. I’m incredibly grateful for what you’ve done for me!
So to say thank you, I’m putting the spotlight back on you today! Here are some of the recipes that you’ve tried and pictures that you’ve shared on Instagram. I truly appreciate each and every time you do that; it really means the world to me! ♥
If you’re interested in starting a blog too, I have a super easy step-by-step guide on how you can start your own blog here. It takes less than 30 minutes!
I can’t wait to see what you try next! ♥
Would you like to see your picture in my next Sunday Spotlight? Then share it with me on Instagram using #amyshealthybaking and tag @amyshealthybaking IN the photo itself. (That guarantees I’ll see your picture! ?) I can’t wait to see what recipes you make!
Your fall table setting is so pretty. I love your leaf plate and it looks so appropriate for Thanksgiving. Please forgive me for giving any advice but you erred in the placement of your knife. Many people do not know that the proper way to lay the knife is with the blade (the cutting edge) turned toward the plate. Even if there is some writing on that side of the knife, (like the brand name or the word sterling etc.). I didn’t learn this until I was in my 30’s, so I humbly pass this along to you. Here is a page by Emily Post. http://emilypost.com/advice/informal-place-setting/
We love the plates too Lexy! They’re some of our favorites. 🙂
Your fall table is so pretty!! I am thankful for YOUR FRIENDSHIP, sweet pea!! <3 <3 <3
Aww thanks Andrea! I’m BEYOND grateful for you too!! ❤️ Maybe we should do another cake decorating thing this holiday season? Where we don’t eat any of it? ??
Yes, I would like the recipe for the whole wheat rolls, please.
Thank you so much for your feedback Sherry! My dad asked me if I had published the recipe for them on my blog, and he was completely amazed when I said no. It was his suggestion that I ask if people wanted it, so hopefully I can post that recipe for you in the near future! 🙂
