I know it isn’t technically Sunday… But since New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday this year and I have an extra special post to share that day, I’m posting this week’s Sunday Spotlight a little early!
When my grandparents flew out from Arizona to spend the holidays with us in California, we stopped by our favorite brunch spot on Christmas Eve to celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary. (Yes, they actually were married on the day before Christmas!)
As the server went around the table, scribbling down our orders for relatively wholesome breakfasts like scrambled eggs, omelettes, and steamed veggies (and huge slices of blueberry coffee cake… the not-so-healthy part!), Grandpa stopped him when he reached me.
“Take good care of her,” he told the waiter. “She’s on the internet!”
Although Grandpa might not fully understand what I write about here on my blog (I almost never review restaurant dishes, only my own recipes!), I still found his comment so cute and touching. To hear the pride in his voice as he mentioned my website to the server… It was one of the sweetest gifts I received this holiday season.
I feel truly blessed to call Amy’s Healthy Baking my full-time job, and I couldn’t have done that without you! Your interest in my recipes and my cookbook, how you share my recipe links on Facebook and Pinterest, how you post pictures of the treats you make on Instagram to show those to me too…
Those little things have added up and allowed me to turn this website into my full-time job, and I’m incredibly grateful for that!
So to say thank you, I’m putting the spotlight back on you today! Here are some of the recipes that you’ve tried and pictures that you’ve shared on Instagram. I truly appreciate each and every time you do that; it really means the world to me! ♥
And if you’re interested in starting a blog too, I have a super easy step-by-step guide on how you can start your own blog here. It takes less than 30 minutes!
I can’t wait to see what you try next! ♥
Would you like to see your picture in my next Sunday Spotlight? Then share it with me on Instagram using #amyshealthybaking and tag @amyshealthybaking IN the photo itself. (That guarantees I’ll see your picture! ?) I can’t wait to see what recipes you make!
